Punish those Bulldogs Friday boys. I think tonight may have very well been a step in turning the corner for our program (there's always a game that starts that for any program) As for the classless fan of the night (yes we all have them). I'll give that to Rose (was name on shirt),the chaingang guy who made the point to sprint to the JJK side and taunt the JJK folks. Be glad that that field is set up with that drop between the stands and the field. It may very well have saved you a thumping. As a chainganger,it is your job to act like you have some sense. Best of luck to the Wave next Friday.

I agree Kelly was a good team with a VERY good D and IMHO that is as big a reason as any that Clintwood O looked down. The same goes for Kelly I am sure that there O will look better vs lesser Ds

As for the Fan it is my understanding that he will not be a member of the chain crew again AND was taken to task but MANY CW fans after the game (IMHO those actions were preatty classless and took away from what was a hard faught game)

I Think Kelly will be a tough game for anyone in the playoffs (I do think that they will make it)

Counts thanks for giving these kids from kelly the respect they deserve. I didn't get to attend the game due to sickness, but i did listen to it on the radio. What a hard fought game by both teams. I've told everyone this year that kelly's defense is darn good. The responses i get wait until you play a good team. Well we played a darn good team tonight. I think our defense speaks for itself. Now maybe some others will give these kids a little respect!!!!

+1. In all honesty, I believe Kelly should have won last night. They played great minus s couple mistakes and could cause trouble on down the road. Interested to see what happens to them and how they finish.

I couldn't take much away from Kelly on it. I had to call it into the paper and I basically said that it was a defensive battle, one that made both offenses look questionable. Kelly had a bit more rushing than Clintwood, Clintwood had a bit more throwing than Kelly. Total yards was within 20 or so. Both teams punted the ball well, including some nice hangtime on the punts, penalties were even, total plays should be pretty close just trying to remember the numbers in my head.

I was hopeful nobody would mention the incident involving the fan and I'll be honest, because it was embarassing that we had one person act like that, and it being a person who was in a position where they helped out, they should know better. I echo what Counts said, from what I heard, he's done. From the top of the chain down, nobody was happy. It caused the administration to have to deal with angry administrators. Coaches to deal with angry coaches, fans dealing with angry fans, etc. I can say this, knowing the guy, and this is no solace at all, the guy is a good guy. I've known him a long time, he just got caught up and acted stupid. I overheard him saying that he had been cussed all game, and that may be true, sitting here, he may have been cheerleading and generated a bit of that cussing himself. I don't think he actually had any evil intent, it wasn't so much a 'stick it to Kelly' as a 'yeah for Clintwood'. He turned to both sides doing the same thing, but of course turning to one side and turning to the other are 2 totally different things. And I'll echo again what Counts said, last thing or one of the last things I heard before I left, was that a few of our fans, some players parents, etc took him to task and basically called him out on being an embarassment. I think some of the police were in the area, might be the only reason it didn't happen. So yes, we had one person act improper that I know of, out of a stadium full of people and yes it was someone who shouldn't have but the difference in Clintwood and other places is that it wasn't tolerated from the administration of the school down to the coaching staff down to the fans. I have little doubt that the guy feels bad about it today ,and in my opinion, he should. I was out there, happy as can be, and my first thought was thank goodness we won that, and then giving praise to the Kelly players and coaches for a heck of a game and wishing them luck. I do think, and I can say I also hope, that they make the playoffs and if they play that style of game, and battle like that, they are an extremely dangerous team.

Complete and total embarrassment. It made me sick. I was screaming at the top of my lungs for them to get that idiot off the field. I don't care if someone told him they wanted to bend his mom over a barrel there's no excuse to act like that. Especially for someone who's supposed to be a PREACHER!!! Getting 10 yards from a kids face and acting like an ass is inexcusable. I've never in my life been more ashamed of our people. We'll have some idiot who'll yell something or say something stupid from the stands, but that beat any of that by a mile. Completely disrespectful, classless, unsportsmanlike, name any other negative connotation and throw in there and it'll qualify. I wanted to go there and put a fist through his face.

For the game, Kelly played with 10 x's the heart and if they could have generated any offense would have won. They play well on defense and like to hit.

Clintwood's offense has gotten worse as the season has went on. The last 2 weeks have been dreadful. I told Counts before the game that I thought we'd lose to either JJK or JIB with the way we were playing. I wish it had been last night that they'd lost instead. Those kids played incredibly hard, physical and with a lot of pride. Something we lacked greatly.

I would like to say thanks to those of you who gave the Kelly kids credit. My hats off to the positive Clintwood fans and to both teams who gave us, in the stands, a great game to watch.

With one obvious exception, there's a reason Clintwood has one of the best crowds in SW VA.

Thanks to all who gave a good word to the kids from Kelly. You'll not find a harder working crew of kids anywhere,and that hard work is starting to show on the field.
